Hank Marvin, the legendary guitarist from The Shadows, and Roger Taylor have collaborated on a new rendition of the 1961 instrumental classic Let There Be Drums by Sandy Nelson. This track is part of the charity compilation album Think Loud 4 Parkinson’s, curated by music manager Ian Grant, who has been living with Parkinson’s disease since 2016.

The project brings together an impressive lineup of renowned drummers, including Vinnie Colaiuta, Simon Phillips, Chad Wackerman, and Peter Erskine, all contributing their talents to support Parkinson’s research. The accompanying music video, directed by Nigel Dick—known for his work on “Do They Know It’s Christmas?”—features these musicians uniting for the cause..

Let There Be Drums has long been a favorite among rock musicians, often used as a warm-up piece. This new version not only honors the original but also serves a greater purpose by raising funds for Cure Parkinson’s. Listeners are encouraged to support the initiative by purchasing the album or donating through the organization’s website.
