Roger Taylor (June 2015): A mixture. Where the heart is the Sleishman-bass drum. And I let myself just build a new, just after my plans – the first and only Sleishman 26 “Bass Drum at all which Don Sleishman kindly draws up specially for me. Otherwise, I use Ludwig. I mix the two, and I feel so very well. Here I used to play in the studio exclusively Ludwig, until I discovered one of these Australian Sleishman kits that have an incredibly pure tone. In addition, a Ludwig Speed King pedal, and I have 12 “and 14” Ludwig Toms and 16 “and 18” floor toms Ludwig.
As for snare drums, I use still mostly my old 14 “x 5” Ludwig Supraphonic snare drum, which comes from the 1962nd Then there are the cymbals: a few old Zildjian Ks, 15 “Avedis New Beat Hit-Hats, 17″ and 20 “K Zildjian crash cymbals and a 22” K Zildjian Ride along with a 60 “Paiste Gong. These Premier CC sticks.
