As rumours said, the musicians included: Mike Dixon (keyboards), Neil Murray (bass), Rufus Taylor (drums), Bob Geldof (rhythm guitar in “Fight Club”), Jeff Beck (guitar on “Say It’s Not True”), Jason Falloon (guitars).
Recorded 2006-2013 at Priory Studios, Surrey.

“One Night Stand” is a rework of 1998 sample-song of the same title. “Sunny Day” is a 2006 song “Woman You’re So Beautiful” with slightly changed chorus words. “I Am The Drummer In A Rock n’ Roll Band” is a song played first live at the Queen Fan Club Convention in 2011. “Small” is a rework of a 2008 Queen plus Paul Rodgers “Cosmos Rocks” album song. “Say It’s Not True” is a 2003 Nelson Mandela’s 46664 campaign song (recorded as a studio song and predicted for a single release, but abandoned and later reworked by Queen plus Paul Rodgers for a single and “Cosmos Rocks” album release). “The Unblinking Eye (Everything Is Broken)” is a 2009/2010 single and “Smile” is a Beatles-like song first played live on the Queen Fan Club Convention in 2010.

Although previously a vinyl edition of the album hadn’t been planned, a 2-LP limited edition picture disc of the album was issued on 14th April 2014 as part of the 19th April Record Store Day celebrations.

The tracklisting for the vinyl edition of the album has been reordered by Roger himself. Two extra songs (“Whole House Rockin'” and “Dear Mr Murdoch”) – originally added to the version of “Fun on Earth” that came as part of “The Lot” – were included on this release.
