On December 4, 2023, a concert was held at G-Live in Guildford to honor Gary Brooker, the acclaimed frontman of the band Procol Harum, who passed away in February 2022. The event featured an impressive lineup of musicians, including Andy Fairweather Low, Roger Taylor, Mike Rutherford (from Genesis and Mike & the Mechanics), Paul Carrack (from Mike & the Mechanics and Ace), and John Illsley (from Dire Straits), as well as members of Procol Harum.
The sold-out concert celebrated Brooker’s life and musical legacy, raising funds for two charities he supported: The Royal Marsden and Cure Parkinson’s.
This event has been released as a 2CD / Multi-Region Blu-Ray and DVD clamshell boxed set. The set documents the entire concert, with a portion of the proceeds from its sale also going to The Royal Marsden and Cure Parkinson’s charities.
Roger performed the song “A Salty Dog.” The set premiered on August 29th.
